Afghanistan Complete Series Victory with Dominant 7-Wicket Win in Thrilling Final match

Afghanistan secured a comprehensive 2-1 series victory over Bangladesh, winning the third and final T10 match by 7 wickets with 2.1 overs to spare. Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s explosive 62 off 19 balls powered Afghanistan to chase down Bangladesh’s 120/7 with ease.
Bangladesh managed to post a competitive 120/7 in their allotted 10 overs despite losing regular wickets. Liton Das top-scored with 39 off 17 balls, while Nurul Hasan contributed an unbeaten 24 off 9 balls to help Bangladesh reach a respectable total. Mohammad Nabi was the pick of Afghanistan’s bowlers with 2/21, supported by Rashid Khan who claimed 2/28 to keep Bangladesh’s scoring in check.
Afghanistan’s chase was dominated by Gurbaz’s record-breaking performance. His strike rate of 326.32 included multiple boundaries as he formed a crucial opening partnership with Hazratullah Zazai (29 off 18 balls). The pair put on a dominant display, racing to 90+ runs for the first wicket and virtually sealing the match within the powerplay overs.
The victory marked Afghanistan’s first T10 series win on Bangladeshi soil, with Gurbaz’s fastest fifty being a highlight of the series. Mohammad Nabi remained unbeaten on 18 off 4 balls to finish the chase in just 7.5 overs, ensuring Afghanistan completed their historic series triumph. The comprehensive nature of the win demonstrated Afghanistan’s adaptability to the shorter T10 format and their growing strength in limited-overs cricket.
