Pakistan stormed to a 7-wicket victory over Afghanistan in the Asia Cup clash at Dharamshala, thanks to Fakhar Zaman’s record-breaking blitz. Chasing 136, Zaman smashed the fastest fifty in T10 history, reaching the milestone in just 13 balls before finishing unbeaten on 57 off 19 deliveries.
Earlier, Afghanistan posted 135-7, with Mohammad Nabi’s explosive 63 off 23 balls being the highlight. Rashid Khan added a quick 15* to push the total, but Pakistan’s chase proved too strong. Despite losing Saim Ayub and Mohammad Rizwan early, Babar Azam’s 37 (12) and Zaman’s fireworks sealed the match with 1.1 overs to spare.
Zaman’s breathtaking knock not only earned him the Player of the Match award but also etched his name in history with the fastest fifty ever recorded.
