South Africa produced a clinical all-round performance to defeat India by 18 runs in the fourth T10 match, sealing the five-match series 3-1 with one game still to play.
Batting first, South Africa posted a competitive 131/5 in their 10 overs. Heinrich Klaasen’s explosive 35 off 19* and Marco Jansen’s quickfire 29 off 11* powered the late surge after David Miller’s blistering 32 off 13 kept the momentum alive.
India’s chase began brightly with Rohit Sharma smashing 41 off 16 and providing a quick start. But wickets at regular intervals, along with disciplined spells from Aiden Markram (2/13) and Keshav Maharaj (2/24), halted India’s momentum. Despite a fighting unbeaten 16 off 12* from Shubman Gill and Ravichandran Ashwin’s cameo (15 off 4*), India were restricted to 113/6, falling 18 runs short.
South Africa’s balanced batting, sharp bowling, and strong composure under pressure secured the match and the series.
