In the third and decisive clash of the Afghanistan–South Africa mini-series at Mangaung Oval, South Africa produced a comprehensive all-round performance to secure a convincing 54-run win and take the series 2–1.

Batting first, South Africa posted a strong 132/4 in 10 overs, driven by an outstanding innings from Reeza Hendricks, who smashed an unbeaten 53 off 19 balls (SR 278.95). His knock anchored the innings after early wickets, combining intelligent placement with powerful stroke-making. Temba Bavuma supported well with 38 (19), while Quinton de Kock and Ryan Rickelton chipped in with brisk starts. Afghanistan’s bowlers struggled to contain the scoring rate, with only Rashid Khan and Fazalhaq Farooqi picking up wickets at a respectable cost. The highlight came from Mujeeb Ur Rahman, who bowled a crucial late spell, including the final over of South Africa’s innings, conceding just 8 runs in a pressure situation. Afghanistan’s chase faltered almost immediately, collapsing to 22/5 inside the first three overs.
