The opening clash of the West Indies tour of Australia delivered an explosive start to the three-match series, with West Indies securing a convincing 30-run victory at Adelaide Oval.

Batting first, West Indies posted a formidable total of 142/3 in 10 overs, showcasing aggressive intent from the outset. Brandon King set the tone with a blistering 32 off just 10 balls, striking at an incredible rate. He was well supported by Nicholas Pooran (31 off 13), who kept the momentum going with clean hitting.

Towards the end, Romario Shepherd (28* off 17) and Shai Hope (26* off 9) provided a powerful finish, pushing the total beyond 140. Despite picking up two wickets, Glenn Maxwell was the only effective bowler for Australia, conceding just 17 runs in his 2 overs.
