Kyle Mayers delivered one of the most dramatic moments of the Pakistan vs West Indies T10 series by claiming a sensational hat-trick during the fifth and final match at Sabina Park.
Pakistan were flying in the chase of 108 after explosive starts from Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub. The visitors had raced to 45 in 2.2 overs and looked firmly in control of the series decider before Mayers produced a magical spell that completely changed the atmosphere of the game.
The West Indies all-rounder first removed Shaibzada Farhan before striking again on consecutive deliveries to dismiss Fakhar Zaman and Salman Ali Agha, completing a brilliant hat-trick under immense pressure. His quick burst suddenly brought West Indies back into the contest and stunned the Pakistan batting lineup.
Mayers finished with excellent figures of 3 wickets for 21 runs in 1.5 overs and became one of the standout performers of the series despite Pakistan eventually winning the match and sealing the series 3-2.
Although West Indies could not defend the total in the end, Mayers’ unforgettable hat-trick became one of the biggest highlights of the tournament and a rare special moment in T10 cricket history.
